Between them they have many years experience, and an unsurpassed knowledge of local flying & meteorological conditions to ensure you get the most from the day. With a variety of complementary styles, our expert instructors will aim to maximize your learning potential for free flying, in an environment that is as fun and safe as possible.

TIM COX
Chief flying instructor
Tim Cox is the Chief Flying Instructor and has been flying Hang Gliders since the mid-eighties, and Paragliders since their conception in the late eighties. Tim has possibly taught more people to fly than any other person in the country. Tim is not only a keen pilot, but is also passionate about sailing and is often out on his (home-made) Catamaran when not flying.
RUSSELL OGDEN
Senior Instructor
After learning to fly with us here at Sussex paragliding and then becoming an instructor, Russell has achieved what most paraglider pilots can only dream of. Vice world champion 2009, and current test pilot for Ozone gliders, he still finds time to make paragliding instructional DVD's, give talks on Paraglider development & design, and direct our SIV training courses in Turkey.
ADAM NORTHCOTE GREEN
Senior Instructor
Our senior instructor throws himself around the sky at every opportunity, running the schools acrobatic/SIV courses. He has an intuitive understanding of flying and people. Adam's warm, calm and happy style lends itself perfectly to clear and 'easy to understand' instruction. Known and loved by all.
TIM DIGINGS
Senior Instructor
Aka scrappy! Tim is a senior instructor with nine years' experience. Known for his love of cream teas. Tim will always go the extra mile to explain and help students. His expertise and energy for paragliding is contagious.
LIZ NEWNS
Senior Instructor
Lizzie has taught some of the best pilots in the Country. When Liz is not teaching yoga or bringing up her three children she can be found at the top of Mount Caburn in the lotus position.
JESSICA COX
Senior Instructor
Jess is a senior instructor on the team. She has been flying since the age of 14 and has flown all over the World. She has a great manner and not a bad bone in her body, everybody loves Jess!
RICHARD NAYLOR
Instructor
Rich loves nothing more than paragliding. An addict for the past six years he can often be spotted high above the Sussex countryside.
ZOE HITCHCOCK
Trainee Instructor
Zoe has been flying Hang Gliders & Paragliders for 15 years. Having flown in many countries, she is happiest when out on the Sussex hills.
MATTY ALLEN
Trainee Instructor
Matty is our latest member of the crew. He is a lovable, huggable soul and an excellent pilot who has spent much of his time flying in South America. His easy-going nature will ensure his becoming a top rated instructor.
MICK STIFF
Sales & Website Manager
Mick's passionate about flying, makes great pictures, & works on our website and newsletter - he's also mad enough to spend hours trawling through the forums and PG company websites, qualifying him to discriminate between the bullshit and the best in current flying equipment.
